Emily and Zak Hudson, two of Cindy’s children, released a statement to let people know their mother had died. A spokesperson read the information, “The death of our kind and funny mother, Cindy Williams, has left us with an indescribable sadness that can’t be put into words.”

Cindy was born in the U.S. city of Los Angeles on August 22, 1947. When she was ten years old, they moved back to Los Angeles. She had a sister whose name was Carol Ann.

Williams was also in two movies nominated for the Best Picture Oscar. In George Lucas’s American Graffiti, she played Laurie, the girlfriend of Ron Howard’s Steve, and in Francis Ford Cappola’s The Conversation, she was one of the people talking.

Soon after that, Cindy was chosen to play Shirley Feeney, a fun-loving brewery bottle capper, in a 1975 episode of Happy Days. She became well-known as Shirley on the show Laverne & Shirley.

Williams was one of the stars of the show Laverne & Shirley. Penny Marshall played Laverne DeFazio. For those who don’t know, Laverne & Shirley was a spinoff of Happy Days, which started on ABC in January 1976.

It was one of the most popular and successful comedies of the decade. It ran for 175 episodes before being taken off the air in 1983. In 1978, Cindy was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role as Shirley.
